Instagram ads for local businesses: how to turn views into bookings
The five parts every local Instagram campaign needs, and where most of them break.
Most businesses try to fix weak results by buying more leads. The cheaper fix is answering the ones they already have.

When a campaign underperforms, the instinct is to change the ads or raise the budget. Often the ads are fine. The leads are arriving, and then waiting hours for anyone to respond.
Someone who fills in a form is interested right now. They have their phone in hand and your offer in mind. An hour later they are at work, at dinner or looking at a competitor. The longer the gap, the colder the lead, and no amount of ad spend fixes that.
You cannot have a person watching for leads every minute you are open, let alone when you are closed. Automation handles the first reply and the reminders, so your team only steps in for real conversations. Connecting your forms, booking calendar and text messaging is a one-time setup.
Text messaging has rules. Tell people on the form that you will contact them by text, give them an easy way to opt out and honor it. Link to your privacy policy.
Track four numbers: leads, bookings, shows and sales. If leads are high and bookings are low, the problem is follow-up or the offer. If bookings are high and shows are low, the problem is reminders. Only when all four look healthy is it time to spend more on ads.
We build this follow-up into every campaign we run. See how in our Instagram and Facebook ads service and our digital marketing approach.
